I have created this blog to spread the word about the work we are carrying out with women groups in Kibera and to help them promote their traditional jewellery and handicrafts.

The campaign to empower Kenyan women is gaining momentum. This is encouraging because a very productive segment of the population is being marginalized simply because of their gender. Keep the flag flying and I know this campaign will succeed.

Women Self Help Groups in Kibera
Helping women in Kibera is our mission. Kibera is a slum located in Nairobi and conditions for women there can be quite harsh. But we know that women together are real forces of nature and they can really make a difference. If you want to help them make the most of their and their families' lives check out the amazing jewellery they produce and order as many pieces as you wish/can. Each purchase makes a difference in someone's life!
